Project Overview
This application enables users to monitor real-time water and energy usage.
By leveraging an existing smart meter and artificial intelligence technology,
it facilitates leak detection and comparison of usage patterns. Its primary objective is to promote water conservation by suggesting sustainable practices, providing informative visualizations, setting personalized saving goals, and offering real-time feedback on progress.
This is especially relevant in regions where energy is primarily sourced from hydraulic sources, such as in Colombia.

In the wake of a severe drought, we are reminded that water is not an unlimited resource. How can we influence and make a significant impact on water and energy consumption to promote responsible and conscious usage?
“In Colombia, electrical energy is generated from different sources, with hydraulics being the one that has the greatest weight, producing, on average, 80% of the electricity. That is, a large percentage of the light we consume is generated with water.”
"It is established that in the country, on average, 43% of drinking water is wasted. This is the conclusion of a report from the Environmental Education Center for Sustainable Development of the University of La Sabana that includes the latest indicators from the National Planning Department."
